This method is ultimate for SBI net banking users. If you activate your debit card through SBI net banking, you no need to visit the bank at all for the activation of your debit/ATM card.

  • Log in to SBI net banking using Username & Password.
  • Click on the e-Services as seen on the screen below.

  • For authentication, you can use either OTP or Profile Password.
  • Enter the OTP received on your RMN
  • Here, you need to select both the account number as well as the card number for which you want to activate the debit card.
  • Now, you need to enter the half PIN i.e 2-digit at your end, and hit the Submit button.
  • Enter the 2-digit PIN chosen by you followed by a 2-digit PIN received in your Registered Mobile Number.

For example, if you choose 30 as your 2-digit PIN and receive 59 as a 2-digit PIN in your mobile number then your Debit Card PIN is 3059.

In this way, you can easily generate the PIN and activate the SBI Debit card in SBI Internet Banking online mode.

  2. Next, you need to enter the details of your Bank Account and the Registered Mobile Number associated with that card.

  4. Now using that PIN you can set your new PIN that was chosen by you.

That’s it. In this way, by following the above very simple steps you can generate the PIN and activate the SBI debit or ATM card in SBI ATM.

How to Activate SBI Debit Card through IVR

IVR stands for Interactive Voice Response. Again this is one of the efficient ways to get and activate SBI debit card. To get this feature, you must have a mobile number registered with SBI.

  2. The IVR system will ask you to enter the ATM card number (new) followed by your Account Number.
  3. If you enter the details correctly a 4-digit pin will be sent to your RMN.

  5. Insert the card into the machine and enter the 4-digit PIN received on your RMN through IVR.
  6. Now you can set a new PIN for your Debit card.
  7. After the PIN change is successfully, your card will be ready for use.
